TOONY WON’T GIVE FUTURE TIME OF DAY

GREGOR TOWNSEND says he’s relaxed about his Scotland future despite having just nine months left on his deal.

Appointed head coach eight years ago, Toony’s contract is set to run out after the Six Nations.

Glasgow boss Franco Smith is one of the leading contenders to take over.

Townsend has met with performance director David Nucifora and chief exec Alex Williamson.

But he said: “I’ve had conversations about the future but not necessarily my future - just where the team is going and reviewing the Six Nations.

“But we've also been looking at areas we might have to strengthen or bring more players through.
