NICKY RICHARDS and Danny McMenamin teamed up for a treble on the opening card of Ayr's autumn jumps campaign.

The pair started with Upon Tweed, who made a very satisfactory winning debut over hurdles when slamming Stride On by eight-and-a-half lengths.

The 4/7 shot carries the colours of Kirkcaldy owner Eddie Melville and Richards said: "Eddie has had horses with us at Greystoke for several decades now and he's got another nice one.
