Distillery in legal battle with founder

A WHISKY distillery with links to the SNP's Kate Forbes, Ian Blackford and John Swinney is locked in a legal battle with Alex Salmond's former helicopter pilot.

John McKenzie, who is also the founder and landlord of GlenWyvis Distillery, claims its original ethos as a community-owned firm has been "hijacked" by overseas "money men".

He is in protracted legal rows with the Dingwall-based business after being booted off its board last year and alleges current bosses are failing to be financially transparent.

And he claims his pleas for help from Forbes, his MSP, and Blackford, his former MP, came to nothing.
