Party whip restored to Labour rebel Leishman

A SCOTTISH MP who had the Labour whip restored after a four-month suspension has warned he will continue to challenge the party leadership.

Brian Leishman was forced to sit as an independent after rebelling against the government on welfare reforms repeatedly.

He also criticised Keir Starmer’s party for a lack of action over the closure of the Grangemouth oil refinery.
