JANGO BAIE gunned down his rivals for Nicky Henderson in the 1965 Chase at Ascot.
Last season's Arkle winner was a 9/4 jolly on his return and he looked in excellent shape as he travelled smoothly for Nico de Boinville.
The gelding was finally sent alongside leader Gidleigh Park (11/4) and he quickly mastered his rival in the straight.
He then forged clear to slam his foe by nine lengths with Pic D’orhy (7/2) a fine third.
