Invest in our kids' future

FINANCE Secretary Shona Robison has named rebuilding the NHS and tackling the cost-of-living crisis as her top concerns to be addressed in Tuesday's Budget.

There is no doubt our hospitals are starved of funds and households need to be given a break. But lets hope she also prioritises our schools where the children who will build the country’s future success are being nurtured.

A Sunday Mail investigation has today revealed teachers are being given as little as 93p a week per child for basic classroom supplies.

That is a miserly sum to budget for all necessities like textbooks, pencils, IT equipment and art supplies.
