But boss reckons he's still got way to go despite Hay earning Dee derby bragging rights with Tannadice winner

- SCOTT BURNS AT TANNADICE

DELIGHTED Steven Pressley still isn't convinced he has won over all the Dundee fans despite their derby heroics.

Ash Hay’s first-half goal was enough to give the Dark Blues bragging rights in the city.

Manager Pressley has come in for a lot of criticism but has now seen his team win three on the bounce.

Elvis admitted the final whistle at Tannadice and the celebrations made all the pain of his early months at Dens worthwhile.

Pressley, when asked if he now has the Dundee support onside, said: “No!

“The one thing that I do know is this, there are always some difficult times ahead. There will be. But you have to enjoy moments like this.

“The fans were amazing today and I know how much this game means to them.

“I know it’s been a difficult season. We've had to stay strong as a group. The players have had to endure a lot and they keep going and they keep on wanting to improve.

“And as I said, the performance and the outcome was incredible.

“I'm going to go back down to England to see my family tomorrow. So I'm sure I'll have a couple of glasses of red and enjoy their company - because you do have to enjoy it.”

Former United player Pressley wasn't exactly welcomed with open arms when he was appointed in the summer.
