Will: Bedding in new signings will pay off

- BY SCOTT BURNS

WILL FERRY knows he has a key role to play in helping Dundee United's new boys settle in at Tannadice - by hitting them with FINES.

United boss Jim Goodwin has radically revamped his squad to fill the void left by the departures of the likes of skipper Ross Docherty, stopper Declan Gallagher and striker Louis Moult.

And with the majority of new signings coming in from overseas, Ferry admits he and other vocal members of the dressing room such as Ross Graham have to set the standards and lead by example.

Ferry said: "Ross and I have tried to take on a lot of the responsibility when it comes to that, even like sorting out fines and making sure everyone knows what the standards are.

"It is difficult because you get people coming from different cultures, different ways of playing and a different way of living.
