ART TREASURE FOUND IN SHED

A DUSTY painting by a famed artist has fetched £1400 at auction after being found in a garden shed.
The 1891 artwork, A Girl in White, by artist Stansmore Richmond Leslie Dean, was a member of the pioneering Glasgow Girls.
The picture by Glasgow-born Dean, best known for her oil paintings, was only put up for auction after being found in a shed during a house clearance earlier this year and was snapped up despite being in poor condition.
