Shock fraud toll sparks action vow

THE minister for fraud has vowed to crack down on criminals after a 19% surge in incidents of the "truly shameful crime".
There were almost four million fraud cases during the year leading up to September - an increase of almost a fifth on the previous year, according to the British Crime Survey.
