It's the charge of the white brigade!

BRITAIN'S Armed Forces have been criticised after it emerged not a single person from an ethnic minority has a job at its most senior levels.

In the elite ranks, all the positions are held by white people across the Army, the Royal Navy and the RAF.

The latest figures come despite a 2021 pledge from the Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, who described the failure to reflect the country's ethnic mix as “woeful”.

In the Army all the Generals and Lieutenant-Generals are white, while in the RAF the Air Chief Marshals and Air Marshals are also all white. The situation in the Navy is even worse with all its Admirals, Vice Admirals and Rear Admirals coming from a non-BAME - black, Asian and minority ethnic - background.

The highest ranked nonwhite person is a Major-General in the Army, an Air Vice-Marshal in the RAF and a Commodore in the Navy.
