PARENTS are fuming after the price of Premier League football player cards rocketed 56% for the new season.

Fury as complete set of footie cards now £1,500

It means collecting a full set of 450 cards = amassed by millions of children since their launch in the 1970s — will now cost an eye-watering £1,500.

As the Premier League season kicked off this weekend, Topps, the new maker of the player cards, upped the price to £3.50 for a pack of 10 -35p a card.
