Rampant Rommens ready to mix rough with smooth

NINETY minutes was all it took.

By the end of Tuur Rommens’ first Old Firm experience, he'd caught the bug. You only have to look at him AFTER the full-time whistle in last week's epic derby draw at Ibrox.

The Belgian’s eyes are glazed over as he’s right in the thick of a post-match melee. He reacted while trying to defend his teammate Mikey Moore in a set-to with Hoops defender Julian Araujo.

In a flash, he was squaring up to Celtic sub Tomas Cvancara, who hadn't even got off the bench. After just one Old Firm derby, Rommens was hooked.

Given the atmosphere at last Sunday's league clash, he'll have grasped what this game means.

He had watched a couple of them when he played in Belgium for Genk, then Westerlo. He says it's the ONLY Scottish game any one there watches. And after his first taste of it for real, he wasn't left one bit disappointed.

Rommens admits he got a tad carried away but says emotions were running high after Danny Rohl’s side let a two-goal lead slip.

Now Rommens insists talking should be done during the game.
