Families elated as hostages rescued

Israeli special forces simultaneously raided two Hamas sites some 650ft apart in central Gaza’s Nuseirat refugee camp and a firefight erupted as the hostages were evacuated, leading to heavy airstrikes in the heart of the residential neighbourhood.

At least 94 Palestinians including children were killed, while one officer of the elite Yamam counter-terrorism unit died of his wounds.

imageAt one Palestinian family home, Noa Argamani, 25, was found after 245 days in captivity.

In a notorious video released by the terror group she had been seen on the back of a motorcycle wedged between her two Hamas captors, screaming: “Don’t kill me!” She also stretched her arms out toward her boyfriend, Avinatan Or, still being held in Gaza.
