Commentary and innovation prizes for Care Sound Radio
Perth’s CareSound Radio has picked up two prizes in the Hospital Broadcasting Awards 2025.
PRI radio presenter with cerebral palsy Georgie Williams won the Innovation Across Hospital Radio award.
And the CareSound’s football commentary team won silver in the Best Programme With Multiple Presenters.
Georgie Williams was born with quadriplegic cerebral palsy and has no use of her legs, right arm, and has limited use of her left arm.
She is unable to talk and uses a communication aid attached to her wheelchair to broadcast.
The 29-year-old and several representatives of the PRI based station attended the recent Hospital Broadcasting Awards ceremony in Leicestershire where she was announced winner of the inaugural Innovation Across Hospital Radio award.
