Witness appeal as man hurt in smash

POLICE have issued an update after a car hit a pedestrian before ploughing into a Sainsbury's store in Bolton.

Emergency services attended Darwen Road, in Bromley Cross, at around 12.50pm on Monday afternoon (October 27).

A Range Rover struck a pedestrian, a man in his 40s, before hitting the Sainsbury's Local convenience store.

Images from the scene showed bricks out of place after the building had been hit by the car, while a bollard was also knocked over.

Police, firefighters and paramedics attended the scene.
