Plans in place for new promotion bid

COUNTY will make the short trip to League Two side Salford City on Friday 25th July, in the club's final confirmed pre-season fixture.

Dave Challinor's side will take on the Ammies in a 7.30pm kick-off at the Peninsula Stadium, before returning to Edgeley Park a day later to face Hull City.

The double-header marks County's final pre-season action before the League One campaign officially gets underway on Saturday 2nd August.

Salford finished eighth in League Two last season under former MK Dons and Oxford United boss Karl Robinson, missing out on a play-off place on the final day of the campaign after being held to a 2-2 draw at home to Carl-isle United.

It will be the first meeting between the two sides since a 2-2 draw in March 2024, when County came from two goals down at half-time to rescue a point en route to winning the League Two title - with Ibby Touray and Tanto Olaofe on the scoresheet for the Hatters.
