Cllr says 'enough is enough' with out-of-use board

NETWORK Rail have been told to sort out an “eyesore” in Stockport which a local councillor said is ruining the look of the area for residents and visitors.

The company has a digital advertising board on its land on Stockport Road near Roscoe's roundabout, but the board is currently out of use and fenced off.

Coun David Meller has urged the company to act after trying “for over a year” to get an update about when it will be fixed.

“People have been very patient about this thing but mine has now finally snapped,” the Cheadle East and Cheadle Hulme North councillor said.
