Another 400 green belt homes billed 'logical extension'

HUNDREDS of homes could be built as part of a new “garden neighbourhood” on green belt land.

Land south of Chester Road in Woodford is being eyed for the scheme by JAG Woodford Ltd and Russell LDP, whose partner company is Russell Homes.
Planning documents say it would be a “logical extension” to Woodford, which is based near the boundary with Cheshire and close to the A555.
An application has been submitted to Stockport council for up to 395 new homes in a range of types and sizes, with half of these set to be at affordable prices.
