Frontline rail worker handed top accolade
Stirling Observer
|June 25, 2025
A Stirling rail conductor has scooped a top honour at the Scottish Transport Awards 2025.
ScotRail conductor, Lorna Hunter, earned national recognition after being named Frontline Employee of the Year at the prestigious ceremony held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, in Glasgow, last week.
Lorna, who has been a member of ScotRail's on-train crew at Stirling since 2011, was commended for her outstanding commitment to passenger safety and customer service.
In 2024, she was named ScotRail's Employee of the Month for her brave response to an incident on a quiet late-night train. When a disruptive passenger became aggressive, Lorna acted swiftly and calmly to protect a vulnerable female customer, helping to ensure the individual was later apprehended by British Transport Police.
