First responder volunteers celebrate 20th anniversary

Forth Valley Community First Responders (CFRs) are volunteers trained by the Scottish Ambulance Service to respond to a potential life-threatening emergency in the vital first few minutes before an ambulance crew arrives.

The group was set up in 2005 by the late Rod Moore, who was Team Leader at Falkirk Ambulance Station. They cover all the Forth Valley area and currently have 16 volunteer members, many of whom have been with the group for over 15 years.
