Cafe and bakery plan for Dunblane

A new bakery and cafe looks set to be created in Dunblane.

Stirling Council planners have conditionally approved an application by Carlotta Canavesio for a change of use from salon/retail (Class 1A) to a bakery/food and drink (Class 3) at the vacant former Veronica Jane Lynch premises at 1-3 High Street.

Four representations were submitted-three objecting to the proposals and one in support.

While the supporter said the plans would increase footfall to the area, objectors raised concerns over a metal flue potentially detracting from the character of the Conservation Area and loss of amenity to a neighbouring dwelling.
