SANBS launches National Blood Donor Month 2025

The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) has officially launched National Blood Donor Month (NBDM) 2025, celebrating the life-saving generosity of blood donors under the global theme: "Give blood, give hope: together we save lives.

This year's campaign highlights the transformative power of blood donation and the unbreakable bonds of community, compassion, and solidarity that each act of giving represents. At the heart of the campaign is World Blood Donor Day (WBDD), observed annually on 14 June, a moment to honour the thousands of everyday heroes whose selfless donations help save lives across South Africa. "On World Blood Donor Day, we pay tribute to those who give the ultimate gift — the gift of life," said Thandi Mosupye, Senior Manager of Marketing, Communication and Brand at SANBS.
