Third batch of Tawi Trekkers leaves for HP

JAMMU: The third batch of Tawi Trekkers J&K, comprising 90 students, including 32 girls, of MHAC School, Nagbani, here left today for Dharamshala to participate in the Dharamshala Himalayan Trekking Programme being organized by Tawi Trekkers under the overall supervision of Shawetica Khajuria, president of the club.

Shashi Kant Sharma, a trained mountaineer and a seasoned trekker along with Hari Khajuria and four teachers of the school Sanjay Nayar, Anuradha Sharma and Sarika Billowria escorted the group.

Meanwhile, activists of the club led by Sonam Sidharth, Field Director of the programme, Sourav Deep Singh and others have already made proper boarding, lodging and other necessary arrangements at Chamunda and Macleodganj area for the smooth conduct of the trekking venture.
