DC Baramulla conducts extensive visit of Uri; reviews relief measures for shelling affected people

In view of the recent cross-border shelling incidents, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, on Sunday conducted an extensive visit to Uri sub division to take stock of the arrangements made for families evacuated from vulnerable areas along the Line of Control (LoC).

Accompanied by Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Uri and senior officers from concerned departments, DC visited several key locations, including Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Uri, Control Room Uri, Government Degree College Uri, and GDC Boniyar, which are currently being used as temporary relief centres.

At SDH Uri, the DC reviewed emergency preparedness, availability of staff, and healthcare facilities. He emphasized the need to ensure round-theclock medical services for any eventuality.
