DBPS welcomes ceasefire, applauds PM Modi, Indian Army for resolute action

JAMMU: In a strong show of support for the recent ceasefire agreement and the Indian government’s response to the border tensions with Pakistan, the Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha (DBPS), Jammu held a meeting today, lauding the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the exemplary courage of the Indian Armed Forces.

Addressing the gathering, DBPS President Ved Prakash Sharma expressed appreciation for the government's firm stance against terrorism, stating that India's response under Prime Minister Modi's leadership was both swift and strategic. “The recent ceasefire is a step in the right direction, but it was India's strong and clear message to the world that terrorism and cross-border aggression will no longer be tolerated that truly stood out,” he said. Chairman Advocate P.C. Sharma, along with former Deputy Commissioner B.S. Jamwal and General Secretary of Baba Bhair Dev Sthan Trust, Ramesh Sharma, also praised the armed forces for their bravery and professionalism during the recent conflict. They expressed pride in the Indian Army for maintaining composure and strength even under pressure, ensuring that the situation did not spiral into a prolonged war, which could have had far-reaching consequences for the nation, both economically and socially.
