A YOUNG man with the “mental age of a 12 or 13-year-old” was raped in a Swansea pub toilet, a court heard.

- ROBERT HARRIES

Johnathan Michael Jones, aged 41, bumped into his victim near the Swansea.com Stadium in the city on the evening of July 1 this year.

He had met him before and began talking to him near a local bus stop. He put his arms around his victim and proceeded to kiss him, before putting his hand on his bottom and sexually assaulting him.

The victim told Jones to stop but a court heard he did not, and instead asked if he could touch his penis.

Both men later went into a pub and then into a cubicle located within the pub toilet.

It was here, according to prosecution barrister Jon Tarrant, that Jones sexually assaulted him.

Jones then told his victim to turn around before raping him. When the victim was able to push him away, Jones proceeded to offer him £100 if he was allowed to continue.
