Town's new gym is right fit for women
South Wales Evening Post
|May 19, 2025
A NEW gym is standing out from a crowded market because it has one very different selling point.
The owner of KC Leisure in Carmarthen has set out to create a safe space for women to exercise in an environment they can be entirely comfortable in - because men are not allowed to use it.
But there's far more here than just a gym for women. This is a Wellness Centre, one that describes itself as “a holistic sanctuary where health, balance and community come together to nurture your mind, body and life-style”.
Situated in Parc Pensarn on the outskirts of Carmarthen, KC Leisure is within a close distance to other gyms, so it was always going to be vital to try to offer something different in order to stand out in a competitive market.
And stand out it does, in a newly built, state-of-the-art, two-storey building which offers plenty of parking.
Upstairs you'll find a large studio, a main gym room, changing facilities, and a room offering a sauna and cold bath therapy called Fire and Ice Retreat. You can do all sorts of classes too, including core blasts, boot camps and warrior workouts.
