Man 'living with partner' despite order

Phillip Aston was sentenced to eight weeks in prison for breaching a restraining order at his partner's home in Aberdulais.

The woman threw Phillip Aston a vape in the hopes he would go away but the defendant kept banging on the door and fiddling with the power.

Swansea Crown Court heard 42-year-old Aston is subject to a five-year restraining order prohibiting him from contacting the woman following a conviction for stalking her but had effectively been living with her for a number of months with her consent despite the order.

Emily Bennett, prosecuting, told the court that just after midnight on July 13 this year the complainant in the case heard Aston banging loudly on the door of her Aberdulais home and shouting.

The defendant then opened the external electricity box of the property and repeatedly switched the power on and off.

The court heard the defendant started asking for a vape and the woman threw one down from the bedroom window in the hope he would then leave.
