HUGE SHAKE-UP STILL ON CARDS

A SEISMIC shakeup of Welsh rugby remains on the cards after one of the WRU's top brass revealed not everyone will be satisfied with its future path.

Dave Reddin, the WRU’s director of rugby and elite performance, is to submit a set of recommendations to the board later this week.

It comes as the consultation period for the future of the professional game nears its end.

And Reddin has warned the outcome will not satisfy every stakeholder.

Last month, Reddin proposed halving the number of professional clubs from four to two, while also building a new national campus where both sides would train.

There has been significant push-back on this proposal, with Reddin meeting all of the key stakeholders during a formal consultation process which ends tomorrow.
