Dragons ring changes with one eye on Welsh derby games

THE Dragons have made a raft of changes for their trip to face Glasgow Warriors at Scotstoun today (5.30pm).

The Rodney Parade side ended an 18-game losing streak in the United Rugby Championship last Friday by drawing with Sharks in Newport.

However, they wasted a big chance to get a first league win since the opening weekend of 2024-25 by failing to try a routine drop goal at the death.

Head coach Filo Tiatia has freshened up his lineup because Dragons have a six-day turnaround before they host Cardiff.

With one eye on ending a 19-game losing streak against the Blue and Blacks, Aaron Wainwright, Ben Carter, Rhodri Williams, Wyn Jones, Robert Hunt and Angus O'Brien are rested.

Dragons end the first block of the season with another Rodney Parade derby against Ospreys.

"It’s a long season and I have been in competitions before where you use the same XV every week and then, when you get to really needing them, they are either broken, tired of fatigued," said defence coach Dale MacLeod.
