Call for greater efforts to curb anti-social behaviour

EFFORTS are being made to put a stop to anti-social behaviour, which has been causing upset in the Llywnhendy area of Llanelli.

County councillor for the area Sharen Davies said children, some as young as under 10 years old, have been hounding the community - including the Llwynhendy Care Home, where elderly residents and staff have been subjected to verbal abuse.

Damage has also been caused to the gates and garden areas of the home in Ynys Las.

Cllr Davies said: "Over the past few months, there has been a serious rise in anti-social behaviour across Llwynhendy, including at our local care home, where staff and elderly residents have been subjected to shouting, offensive music and even verbal abuse. The home's gates have been damaged and gardens vandalised."

The home is run by Padda Care, which did not wish to comment on the anti-social behaviour.
