burning questions about plans for future of game

REDDIN has proposed such a radical restructuring of the professional game as a reaction to a tough few years for both the regions and the two national sides.

The men’s national side has only recently broken a run of 18 straight Test match defeats, while they have also received back-to-back Wooden Spoons in the Six Nations.

This has in large part come as a result of Wales’ four professional sides - Cardiff, Dragons, Ospreys and Scarlets - struggling to compete on the field, although many would argue this is partly due to the WRU’s mismanagement of everything below the national side.

Last summer WRU CEO Abi Tierney launched the One Wales strategy with the stated aim of both the men’s and women’s national sides being ranked in the top five in the world by 2029.
