A RAPIST died after a series of failings by a prison.
-
John Warry was serving a 12-year sentence for the horrific sexual abuse of a toddler.
The 73-year-old, from Barry, died in September, 2022, at HMP Stafford, a jail for sex offenders. A prisons ombudsman report has found there were mistakes by a prison GP and healthcare staff before his death.
Warry, of Well Walk, had been handed a 12-year sentence in 2017 after a jury found him guilty of five counts of raping a child.
