Mosque plan backed by council

The approval was granted for the development of the Madina Masjid Mosque on Lucas Street in Cathays by council planning officers as part of their delegated decision made this month.

This will see the new building, which is earmarked for a site between Lucas Street and Robert Street that's already home to temporary buildings, used as a mosque and community centre.

The land is located just off Crwys Road in Cathays which is a busy residential area known for a number of shops, bars and restaurants.
