TS Galaxy head coach Adnan Beganovic is preparing for another testing campaign in the Betway Premiership, one that again begins with rebuilding and reshaping his squad. Over the past few months, the club has lost several key players, including Kamogelo Sebelebele, who joined Orlando Pirates, Dženan Zajmovic, who returned to Europe, and Siphiwe Mahlangu, who opted for a new challenge at Sekhukhune United. Add to that the uncertainty of of a FIFA transfer ban which has stalled new registrations, and Beganovic's task looks anything but straightforward. Yet, the Bosnian mentor remains optimistic. In this wide-ranging conversation with Soccer Laduma's Delmain Faver, Beganovic reflects on the departures of key players, the challenges of working under restrictions, the team's spirited MTN8 quarterfinal performance against Sekhukhune United and his plans for the upcoming season.

Delmain Faver: Coach, same script, different cast. Do you sometimes get the feeling that the start of the season is an impossible mission for you because, as you said, if you lose, you have to rebuild and perform? Is that becoming easier as it goes along or is it something that is not that important?

Adnan Beganovic: It depends on how we look at it. We have had a preseason so that I could improve my preparation for the next six weeks. After that I want to see how my team looks on the field. Yes, there are some issues. We need to rebuild our team and bring in some new players. I'm so happy because based on everything that I have seen so far, all the new players can help us in this new season. We just need to spend more time with the new players to explain our vision, our philosophy, what we want, how we want to play, how we want to look on the field and then our structure. It's very important, our structure. At no point do I want to lose my structure in the game because I want to keep it for all 90 minutes. Even if we play a high press or a middle block or a low block, I don't care. But we are preparing our team for all three options. But structure is something that we need to keep for all 90 minutes.

The Chairman and CEO never panicked!

Siwelele FC had a rather difficult start to the 2025/26 season. The club was established in 2025 after the purchase of SuperSport United’s PSL status and was renamed Siwelele FC. To make matters worse, Siwelele suffered six defeats in their first 10 league games. Yet, the club kept faith in coach Lehlohonolo Seema. After all, the man has been around the block, and with over a decade in the dugout, he’s capable of doing the job. In this interview with Tiyani wa ka Mabasa, Seema opens up about stabilising the team and also looks back on the season.
