Brice, it’s great having you back with us again this week. Before we get to more of this week's stories, can you explain to our readers, as someone who speaks English and French, how difficult was it to translate the coach’s instructions to your teammates?
If a coach speaks briefly, then it's easy to take what he says and explain it to a teammate. But the longer he speaks, which often happened, the more difficult it becomes because then you must capture the key words instead of the whole instruction. Some coaches don't want to stop every few seconds, so it's very important that you get the key words, but it's not that difficult because I've been doing it for a very long time. But the biggest challenge is that I've spent many years in South Africa, and I have forgotten some words in French. I have to think. The more you speak a language, the easier it is for you. For example, the English that I speak now is completely different from the English I spoke when I first arrived in South Africa.
Besides the trialists at Jomo Cosmos, who were some other difficult players to translate for?
At Jomo Cosmos we had too many players coming in and out for trials. Bra J (Jomo Sono) had a lot of players coming in from other countries. Players from Senegal, Burundi, and DR Congo spoke French, but some only spoke their native languages. In Senegal, some people speak Wolof, and in DR Congo they speak Lingala. Some players didn't understand French even though they came from former French colonies. It's not like Côte d'Ivoire, where we had 60 tribes and everybody spoke French because we had to communicate with different tribes.
Let's talk about some of the funniest stories from your time in Morocco. What do you remember?

Mbule gone! What next?
Orlando Pirates confirmed the departure of Sipho Mbule after just one season with the club. The midfielder leaves the Buccaneers under a bit of a dark cloud with many stories doing the rounds of social media platforms, as was the case with his departures from SuperSport United, Mamelodi Sundowns and Sekhukhune United, where he spent a season on loan from the Brazilians. The bad press around the 28-year-old midfielder, which comes from various media sources, is surely not good for his career, and this could see clubs being concerned about signing him or offering a long-term deal for his services. With the transfer window opening at the start of July, Soccer Laduma looks into some challenges he could face and where he could end up playing his football.

We got to the top at the right time
Winning automatic promotion to the Betway Premiership for Kruger United was not only about what happened on the pitch. Off the pitch, the club put together a team of individuals who played a role in making sure that the team was running properly to achieve their goals this season. One of those individuals is Sporting Director Elasto Kapowezha, a man with tons of experience from working at various clubs since retiring from the game many years ago. Kruger won promotion and now Kapowezha has the big task of ensuring they are well prepared for the top-flight. Soccer Laduma’s Tshepang Mailwane met up with Kruger’s Sporting Director to talk about how the club managed to win promotion to the Betway Premiership and what the plans are for the upcoming campaign.
