Mvonqo, thanks a lot for taking the time to share stories about your professional career, we really appreciate it. Thanks, my brother, nice talking to you.

You had quite a successful spell at Golden Arrows which included winning the memorable MTN8 against Ajax Cape Town. What do you miss the most about your former teammates?

I miss all my former teammates, especially Thamsanqa Gabuza, ha, ha, ha. That man is really funny and everyone will tell you at least one crazy story about Gabuza. We had such great fun. There was no dull day at training or camp before and after matches. I remember one day we were in camp. You know, in some hotels, some rooms have both the bath and shower, some have a shower only and some only have a bath. So, Gabuza made it very clear to everyone that he didn't want a room with a shower, he only wanted a bath.

Ok. Did he explain why?

We were all confused because none of us cared if a room has a shower only or bath — that didn't really matter to us. And we only found out later that he wanted to put isiwasho sakhe (bath salt) before taking a bath, ha, ha, ha. It was a night before a game and we decided to give him his wish and allowed him to use isiwasho sakhe, which was pink by the way. I remember very well because he used to share a room with Jabulani Nene. On the day of the match, we were all expecting Gabuza to perform wonders, but he missed five clear chances. And we told him that he must never use isiwasho again. It's supposed to give him good luck, so what was the point of using it when he was going to miss five clear-cut chances, ha, ha, ha.

Ha, ha, ha, he was meant to attract good luck, only to find out he was missing chances...
