Inquest finds councillor's death was accidental following fall at his home

A BELOVED councillor died in hospital earlier this year after a serious fall at his home in Lincoln.

Councillor Peter Burley was a North Kesteven District Councillor who represented Bracebridge Heath, and formerly Waddington East, for 17 and a half years after he was first elected in May 2007.

The 80-year-old had also been a Parish Councillor locally in Bracebridge Heath since 1999.

Over the years he held a number of committee positions, including vice-chairman of the planning committee, and had also been an executive board member with a special interest in the environment and public protection.
