Two Weeks In August

You might not have heard of Various Artists Limited, but you're sure to be familiar with its work.

The London-based production company is behind a string of small screen hits, including I May Destroy You, Such Brave Girls, Juice and Spent, so when you hear its latest production is about to be broadcast, you should sit up and take notice. Two Weeks in August is the brainchild of actress Catherine Shepherd, who has appeared in the likes of Peep Show and Sally4Ever, but is now making a bigger splash as a writer. She claims the eight-part drama is "a story about what it's like to try and be happy in a very anxious and confusing world and at its core, about a woman struggling to play all the roles she's been given by life. How do you enjoy yourself for two weeks in August when the world appears to be falling apart around you?
