Peter Shilton, England's most capped goalkeeper, is set to appear before audiences in South Shields just weeks before the 2026 World Cup gets under way.
The appearance is made evermore special due to the upcoming 40th anniversary of the infamous 'Hand of God' incident that saw England knocked out of the 1986 World Cup at the hands of Argentina.
Peter was the man between the sticks for Diego Maradona's legendary handball goal, which is still one of the most talked-about refereeing decisions ever made.
Peter, who represented England in three World Cups, said: "It will be wonderful to be in South Shields just ahead of the World Cup.
