Estate spa plan removed nursery

MULTIMILLIONAIRE owners of a five-star hotel confirmed plans for a luxury spa five months before parents were told their beloved children’s nursery was being axed to make way for the conversion.
Parents were told Crossbasket Nursery, within the 14-acre grounds of Crossbasket Castle estate in Blantyre, Lanarkshire, was being closed in July before shutting for good on October 1.
‘The move saw “devastated” parents scrambling to find care for more than 100 children and around 30 staff losing jobs.
