Nine arrests as police ‘assaulted' during clashes with protesters
THOUSANDS of Tommy Robinson supporters made their way through the streets of London for the right-wing Unite the Kingdom rally yesterday.
Footage shows about 110,000 supporters of the controversial campaigner gathering in Whitehall, with Union Jacks, St George's Crosses and Saltires worn and waved, while there were also counter-protests of around 5,000 March Against Fascism campaigners.
A stage was set up to hear a series of speeches from right-wing personalities and politicians and included an interview between Robinson and businessman Elon Musk, who accorded with the overriding theme of the day by proclaiming the "destruction of Britain" because of "massive uncontrolled migration".
