William tries to 'find a way to woo us amid concern he 'doesn't get' Scotland

PRINCE William is embarking on a mission to woo Scotland in the lead up to him becoming king.
The Prince of Wales, who marked his 43rd birthday on Saturday, has a bittersweet relationship with this country.
He was at Balmoral when his mother Princess Diana died in a Paris car crash in 1997 when he was just 15, but also met his future wife Kate Middleton when they were both students at St Andrews University in Fife.
It has been widely reported that William is aiming to modernise the monarchy to make it more suitable for the 21st century.
But concerns have been raised that he doesn’t “get” Scotland, leading to
'His grandma got it, his father gets it, he needs to be in Scotland more'
an increase in engagements north of the border.
