Wahlberg's praise for 'badass' Scots rowers

HOLLYWOOD A-lister Mark Wahlberg has hailed three Scottish brothers, who are making a record-breaking rowing attempt as “badasses”. And the star has even offered to play one of them in a movie about their endurance challenge.

Ewan, Jamie and Lachlan Maclean are 54 days into their bid to row 9,000 miles non-stop and unsupported from Lima, Peru to Sydney, Australia.

And they were surprised with a message from the Perfect Storm and The Departed star who said he was “so inspired” by their undertaking.

Humbling

He told them: “You're badasses doing something no one else would think of. This could be a movie. The best films I’ve done are based on true stories — ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
