TV's John: Flashing scandal drove me to brink of suicide

SCOTS star John Barrowman has spoken out after claiming his “life and career” were ruined following accusations he had repeatedly exposed himself on the set of the BBC One sci-fi series Doctor Who and its sister show Torchwood.

Barrowman, 57, claimed in January the last three years have been “devastating” and he’s been “blackballed” from showbiz.

However he told STV show Scotland Tonight: “I don’t regret anything.”

In the interview, which aired last night, Barrowman was asked by presenter Rona Dougall if his colleagues agreed that his behaviour was simply “silliness and a bit of a carry on”.

The actor replied: “Nobody complained.”

Barrowman kept his defensive tone throughout the television interview, adamant that his behaviour was not inappropriate and put it down to “being a different time.”
