Par for the course: Trump is set to visit his Aberdeenshire golf links during his UK trip in July

TENSIONS between Downing Street and Buckingham Palace are soaring ahead of Donald Trump's planned two visits to the UK, it emerged last night.

The controversial US President is expected to jet into Scotland next month, with the high-security trip likely to be centred on his Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeenshire.

King Charles and Queen Camilla will be spending their annual summer break at Balmoral, just 90 minutes away on Royal Deeside, but sources say the monarch is not expected to see Trump privately.

A state visit is due to follow in September, with the White House pushing for a street parade where the president is carried through the streets of London in a state coach.

But a source told the Sunday Times: "He can't go to Buckingham Palace because it is being renovated. And he can't have a state coach for security reasons."
