Tourist killed in Nile cruise crash

A WOMAN aboard a cruise boat on the River Nile has been killed in a crash with another tourist vessel.

The Royal Beau Visage and Opera are both damaged

Denise Ruggeri, 47, was in her cabin on the River Beau Rivage when it smashed into Opera near the Egyptian city of Luxor.

She fell and suffered a lung injury and was rushed to the nearby Esna hospital but died soon after being admitted.

Four cabins were destroyed in the collision but no one else was injured, it is understood.

Mrs Ruggeri, a teacher from Abruzzo, eastern Italy, had been on the Christmas cruise with her husband.
