MIGRANTS camped on London's "billionaires' row" erupted in fury when asked whether they would obey an order to leave.

'There was nowhere to go. We don't have jobs... we have the right to stay here...We have permission'

The Romanians told the Daily Express they had the "right to be there" in the face of an eviction notice handed to them by Park Lane landowner Transport for London.

Locals have raged over the "tent city" which was set on the central reservation opposite a private jet sales suite - four months ago.

Migrants have been seen defecating in public and holding loud drinking sessions late into the night on the road where the previous disturbances were playboys revving their Lamborghinis.

When asked why they thought this was acceptable behaviour in the neighbourhood where homes sell for an average of £13million, one man said there was "nowhere to go".

He shouted: "We don't have a job.

We have the right to stay here.

"If you have any questions, you should go to the council. We have permission to stay." The group refused to answer questions about allegations from local workers and other homeless people that they had been involved in thefts, and claims police had twice visited their site.

A homeless migrant from Africa, living opposite the Romanian tents, said he was the first person to pitch up on the land.

He said: "One of them saw me and then told me their friends would come. Then they all came and set up tents.

"They are very noisy, having loud arguments into the night. Sometimes, they go to the toilet near my tent and I have to tell them to leave.

"I don't go to the bathroom around here. I'm clean and use the local mosque." The man, who did not want to be named, showed us his courier bicycle he used to earn a living while living rough.

He said he was preparing to leave and intended to obey the court order.

Gesturing at the Romanians, he said: "They don't work.

They go begging.
