TWO teenagers have been arrested over a spate of deliberate fires in Edinburgh.

- By Sarah Ward

The teens, aged 17 and 18, were held in connection with alleged wilful fire-raising in the city in March and April, linked to a continuing gangland turf war.

The pair were arrested after a blaze that occurred in Hay Drive in the Niddrie area on April 4 at about 1.20am.

The fire spread to a neighbouring property and caused “substantial damage” to both homes, police said.
